ABSTRACT:
HIV/AIDS is a debilitating health hazard and a social reality rooted in human behavior. It is particular reported by high risk in urban areas, mainly among truck drivers, sex-workers, migrants and people engaged in hotel and tourist industry. Present study is data plus information collect from NACO. India has 3rd highest number of HIV-infected people (According UN July 2014) as for as this health disorder is concerned. It is very sensitive and a lot of social stigma is attached to it. Acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) is an incurable disease and reported from almost all states of country, It is spreading beyond the high risk group and now it an indigenous as any other disease Hetro-sexual route is mainly responsible are for the most of cases except N.E. states. Authentic information is not available at any level, but still author’s have tried their best and concluded the alarming condition. To check this epidemic, awareness programmes and preventive intervention are urgent need of the day.
